Khayamiya
Appliqué cut and hand-stitched in the tradition of Cairo's tentmakers, whose work once lined the city's ceremonial tents. Dense geometry, arabesques and lotus forms, now made as wall hangings, cushions and throws.

Hand Embroidery
Fabric and clothing embroidered stitch by stitch in the regional techniques of the Delta, Upper Egypt and the oases. Each place keeps its own stitches and its own colors.

Sirma
Raised embroidery in gold and silver thread, worked over a cut pattern so the design stands off the cloth. Slow, exacting work, traditionally kept for ceremonial pieces.

Tally
Assiut's metal embroidery. Narrow strips of silver or brass are threaded through tulle and folded flat by hand to form birds, palms, camels and geometric patterns. The fabric catches the light as it moves.

Scarves woven on traditional looms and dyed by hand, often with plant dyes. Soft enough for every day, with the small irregularities a hand-thrown shuttle leaves behind.

Pottery & Ceramics
Clay thrown on the wheel, then glazed and fired by hand, from village workshops and city studios. Vases, bowls and cookware made to be used, not just displayed.

Woodwork & Furniture
Furniture and carved pieces that draw on mashrabiya screens, arabesque carving and the joinery of old Cairo. Built for daily use and for handing down.

Copper & Brass
Copper and brass hammered, engraved and pierced by hand into trays, vessels and decorative pieces. The metal deepens in tone with age.
